1. American Association of Kidney Patients - A national non-profit organization founded by kidney patients for kidney patients. We strive to educate and improve the health and well-being of chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients, those on hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and transplant recipients.

National Kidney Foundation (NKF)- A major voluntary health organization, the NKF seeks to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.

PATIENT BASED EDUCATION

1. Kidney Options- An educational resource for people who have kidney disease as well as their friends and loved ones.
2. Kidney School - An interactive, web-based learning program presented in 20-minute modules. It was designed to help people learn about kidney disease and its treatment, adjust to kidney disease, make good medical choices, and live as fully as possible. The user decides which modules to visit and when, allowing for personalization of the educational experience.

4. Renal Support Network-nonprofit, patient-focused, patient-run organization that provides non-medical services to those affected by chronic kidney disease (CKD). RSN strives to help patients develop their personal coping skills, special talents, and employability by educating and empowering them (and their family members) to take control of the course and management of the disease.

2. United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS)- UNOS is a non-profit, scientific and educational organization that administers the nation's only Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network.

KIDNEY CANCER

1. National Kidney Cancer Organization- This organization promotes research, educates physicians and patients about kidney cancer, and advocates at the federal and state levels on behalf of patient interests.

NEPHROTIC SYNDROME

1. NephCure Foundation- Its mission is to support research seeking the cause of Nephrotic Syndrome and Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), in addition to improving treatment and finding a cure.
